The Robot Fight Club is an opportunity to get in-depth experience coding and working with robots!
Membership in Robot Fight Club includes sessions with University of Manitoba undergraduate student instructors and the use of WISE Kid-Netic Energy's Lego Mindstorm Inventor robots and tablets/laptops.
CLUB DETAILS:
Who: Girls* in grades 7-12.
Where: In the EITC (Engineering Information Technology Complex) building at the University of Manitoba Fort Garry campus.
Cost: $50 deposit, refunded upon completion of the Robot Fight Club Session.
When: Club meets weekly on Saturdays from 1:00 - 4:00 pm.
The Saturday Dates are:
Week 1: March 1, 2025
Week 2: March 8, 2025
Week 3: March 15, 2025
Week 4: March 22, 2025
Week 5: March 29, 2025
Week 6: April 12, 2025
Week 7: April 26, 2025
Week 8: May 3, 2025
Week 9: May 10, 2025
Week 10: Competition: May 17, 2025 - Compete at the MB Robot Games!
*No sessions on Saturdays of April 5 and April 19!
MANITOBA ROBOT GAMES ARE BACK!
On May 17, Club Participants will be competing at the Manitoba Robot Games.
The Manitoba Robot Games are an exciting annual event that brings together robotics enthusiasts of all ages to compete in a variety of challenges. Participants showcase their skills in building and programming robots, testing their creations in competitions designed to inspire innovation hands-on learning in STEM fields.
Registration:
Registrants pay a $50 deposit to participate in the Robot Fight Club sessions. Upon completion of the Robot Fight Club the $50 deposit will be returned to participants.
Bursaries are available for those in need of financial assistance with the cost of the deposit. If registering for the club is cost-prohibitive, please click here for more information on bursary applications.
