WISE Kid-Netic Energy Employment

We hire Workshop and Club Instructors every Fall, Winter, & Spring/Summer term!

We employ undergraduate students to deliver our STEM programming. Throughout the school year we travel to schools in/near the City of Winnipeg delivering hands-on workshops based on K-12 Manitoba Science curriculum. During the spring we deliver our workshops to communities further from Winnipeg, including rural and northern communities and a number of First Nations communities throughout Manitoba. In the summer, we offer day camps in Winnipeg and communities throughout the province.

Our instructors are trained to deliver all of our K-12 workshops, as well as our camps in the summer. As an instructor, you can expect to travel to communities throughout Manitoba. Our fall and winter instructors work flexible part-time hours that accommodate their university course schedules. Our spring and summer instructors work full-time for more extensive travel.

We offer a starting wage of $16/hr and pride ourselves on hiring students who reflect the diversity of the students we see throughout Manitoba.

We provide our instructors with an amazing experience through which they can polish up their presentation skills, increase their independence, and help youth get excited about STEM!

Employment Eligibility & How to apply

In order to be eligible for these positions, we require applicants to be a full time student (60% course load or more), submit a “How to Fry an Egg” or “How to Create a Paper Airplane” demonstration video as well as to hold a valid intermediate or full Canadian driver's license. Having reliable access to a vehicle that can be used for work is an asset. Since we provide STEM programming, a background in science, engineering, kinesiology, education or a related field of study, is also an asset.
